Mafubira Child Care Ministry (MCCM)
Our Journey with MCCM
In 2018, Three Strands Orphan Rescue (TSOR) connected with Mafubira Child Care Ministry (MCCM) in Jinja, Uganda. At the time, MCCM was caring for 28 children who had lost their families due to various hardships. Despite their dedication, the ministry faced challenges in meeting basic needs like food, shelter, and education.
Recognizing the urgent need for education support, TSOR partnered with MCCM in 2020 to help provide school tuition, materials, and essential resources—ensuring that every child had the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.
Transforming Lives Through Support
Over the past five years, our partnership with MCCM has led to life-changing improvements, including:
Clean Water & Health – Installed a water purification system and an 800-gallon water tank to ensure reliable access to safe drinking water, reducing the risk of waterborne diseases.
Improved Safety – Added window screens to protect against mosquito-borne illnesses like malaria.
Better Living Conditions – Expanded the building to include additional bedrooms, funded hot water showers, a hand-washing station, and a new kitchen, creating a healthier and more comfortable environment for the children.
Education: A Path to a Brighter Future
While these improvements have been life-changing, education remains the greatest need. MCCM is committed to ensuring that every child has access to quality schooling, and we are proud to support this mission. Today, three MCCM students are attending university, studying:

Tourism
Nursing
By continuing to invest in education, we are helping these children break the cycle of poverty and build independent, successful futures.
